1. Introduction

Welcome to LocalsVN (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our platform at localsvn.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

LocalsVN is a platform that connects expatriates and travelers in Vietnam with verified local service providers. We facilitate connections but are not a party to any agreements between users and service providers.

2. Definitions

• “Platform”refers to the LocalsVN website and mobile applications.
• “User”refers to individuals seeking services through our platform.
• “Service Provider”refers to businesses or individuals listing their services.
• “Content”includes listings, reviews, images, and other materials posted on the platform.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of these Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the platform and for any activities or actions under your password. We encourage you to use “strong” passwords (passwords that use a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols) with your account.

4. Service Provider Listings

4.1 Listing Requirements

Service providers must provide accurate, truthful information about their services, pricing, and business details. All listings are subject to our verification process before being published on the platform.

4.2 Prohibited Services

The following services are prohibited from being listed on LocalsVN:

• Illegal activities or services violating Vietnamese law
• Adult entertainment or escort services
• Gambling or betting services
• Weapons, drugs, or controlled substances
• Services promoting discrimination or hate speech
• Scams, fraud, or deceptive practices

4.3 Verification

We verify service providers through business license checks, address verification, and in-person or video interviews. The “Verified” badge indicates a service provider has completed our verification process but does not constitute a guarantee of service quality.

5. Reviews and Ratings

Users may leave reviews and ratings for services they have used. All reviews must:

• Be based on genuine personal experience
• Be truthful and not misleading
• Not contain offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language
• Not include personal information of third parties
• Not be posted for commercial purposes without disclosure

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines or our content policies.

6. Pricing and Payments

LocalsVN does not process payments between users and service providers. All transactions are conducted directly between parties. We do not take commissions from service providers or charge fees to users for basic service discovery.

Service providers are responsible for clearly communicating their pricing, payment terms, and refund policies. Users should confirm all pricing details directly with service providers before engaging services.

7. Limitation of Liability

LocalsVN acts solely as a platform connecting users with service providers. We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of services provided
• The accuracy of listings or user content
• Disputes between users and service providers
• Any damages, losses, or injuries arising from service use
• Service provider business practices or conduct

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalsVN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Content and Intellectual Property

By posting content on LocalsVN, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, publicly display, and distribute such content on our platform. You retain ownership of your content.

The LocalsVN name, logo, and all related trademarks are our intellectual property. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
